DSV invites qualified candidates to apply for the Administrative Assistant post that has become available at their warehouse in Kempton Park.

Main Purpose of the Role:

  • Ensure all KPIs are achieved as per SLA agreement within the Returns department.
  • Report on the performance of your department to internal management.
  • Attend to all client requirements promptly, efficiently, and proactively.

 

Qualification(s):

Matric

 

Additional Computer Skills:

  • 3-year experience and effective working knowledge of a Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Computer Literacy – Intermediate

 

Electives:

  • Operations: Extensive knowledge and hands-on skill related to Inbound processes, excellent facility housekeeping (5S), and batch and expiry control.
  • Communication: Must communicate effectively (written and verbal) to manage and meet client expectations.

 

Job-related Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a warehousing/logistics environment OR;
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an FMCG and/or pharmaceutical environment.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage Returns Processes:
    • Ensure offloading of vehicles and receiving process is followed.
    • Ensure documents and registers are completed and filed.
    • Ensure products are checked according to specified criteria, counted, quality checked, and match with paperwork.
    • Ensure end-to-end investigations are done accurately and on time as per the SLA.
    • Ensure receiving and put-away KPIs are met as per client agreement.
    • Ensure Returns SOPs, process flows, and work instructions are adhered to by all team members.
    • Ensure client-specified SOPs are followed as per client agreement.
    • Ensure Returns accuracy on all process levels, at all times.
  • Manage Returns Reporting:
    • Ensure registers are completed daily.
    • Ensure forms are completed daily.
    • Ensure end-of-day data is reported in a timely manner.
    • Ensure all Returns reporting as specified is submitted accurately and within deadlines.
    • Ensure reporting accuracy on all process levels, at all times.
  • Assist and be involved in Risk Management:
    • Operation assessments.
    • SHERQ/Risk audits.
    • Quality Management Systems.
  • Identify areas of non-conformance and drive continual improvement initiatives within your department.
  • Adhere to Health and Safety standards and create awareness.
  • Assist Management with ad hoc operational objectives.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to achieve success in role and motivate team members.
  • Strong decision-making ability and confidence to operate independently.
  • Ability to operate under extreme pressure.
