Rand Water is looking for a candidate to assist an Artisan in keeping Rand Water vehicles, plant, and equipment operational.

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12
• 2 years of working experience in an automotive repair workshop (ability to perform minor services & repairs)
• Code C1 driver’s license could be an added advantage.

Primary Duties:

• Assist in repairing and maintaining mechanical systems and components on vehicles, plant, and equipment
• Housekeeping
• Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ)
• General duties.

Knowledge:

• Technical courses on workshop procedures are desirable but not essential
• Basic relevant SHEQ knowledge.

Skills:

• Technical skills (handling of tools, etc.)
• Communication skills
• Strong observation skills.

Attitude:

• Customer service orientation
• Attention to detail
• Results driven
• Politeness
