Job Responsibilities

As a Chemical Operations Practical Trainee, you will:

• Participate in the Vopak Terminal Durban & Lesedi Chemical Operations Practical Training program.
• Gain practical experience in the Petrochemical/Tank Storage industry.
• Undertake an 18-month program that includes both theoretical training and practical experience at Vopak Terminal sites in Durban or Lesedi.

Minimum Requirements

• N6 Engineering qualification (e.g., N6 in Mechanical/Chemical Engineering).
• Basic computer literacy.
• Must reside in the Durban or Lesedi area.

Daily Responsibilities

• Attend mandatory theoretical classes at Vopak Training Centers in Durban or Lesedi.
• Undertake Plant Operator experiential training within a Chemical Plant environment.
• Achieve competency in all Tank Storage modules and compile a Portfolio of Evidence to support your qualification.
