The Department of Employment and Labour is offering an exciting opportunity for recent graduates to gain valuable work experience through the Presidential Youth Programme.
About the Programme
The Presidential Youth Programme is a government initiative designed to provide recent graduates with work exposure in their field for eight (8) months. This is a great opportunity to gain practical skills and knowledge to launch a successful career.
About the Role
As a Presidential Youth Programme Counsellor, you will play a key role in supporting individuals in their job search. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including:
- Providing administrative support to the Employment Counsellor
- Conducting research on labour market needs and employment counselling best practices
- Delivering and implementing recruitment and selection services
- Networking with stakeholders to ensure quality service delivery
- Registering work seekers
Requirements
- Three (3) years of relevant tertiary qualification majoring in Psychology or Industrial Psychology.
- Registration with the Health Professional Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Registered Counsellor (Independent Practice) or Psychometrics (Independent Practice) is an added advantage.

Eight (8) months
Salary
R 7450.63 per month

Selection Process:
Shortlisted candidates will be subjected to a personnel suitability check, including criminal record checks, citizenship verification, credit record checks, and qualification verification.

- Include a recently updated and comprehensive CV with detailed previous experience.
- Answer the questions related to conditions that prevent re-appointment in Part F of the Z83 form.
