Crime Prevention Wardens for 2024/2025

The Department of Community Safety, Security, and Liaison in Mpumalanga hereby invites applications for Crime Prevention Wardens, for 24-month renewable contract.

Requirements:

• A Grade 10-12 report/certificate
• The person must be physically fit
• Age between 18 and 50 years
• The ability to communicate in English and other official languages
• To undergo Police Clearance (normal criminal record enquiry)
• Experience and participation in crime-related structures/activities will be an added advantage.

90 Police Stations in Mpumalanga

Stipend

In line with Public Employment Program (PEP) related rates.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Patrolling crime at hotspot areas
• Conducting search and seizure activities in schools with the assistance of SAPS members
• Assisting in stop and search operations
• Looking out for any criminal or suspicious activities within the community/any other crime-related situations
• Eliminating all elements of crime within the communities, including all forms of lawlessness and vandalism.

• The CPWs will be working under the supervision of the South African Police Service (SAPS)
• People who are employed are not advised to apply; the program is for unemployed people
• Those appointed will be required to work in any situation
