Requirements:
- Essential:
- Senior Certificate/Matric Certificate or equivalent.
- Basic computer literacy skills.
- Skills Profile:
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience in data capturing or information systems will be an added advantage.
- Competency Profile:
- Proficiency with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
- Knowledge of customer care relations, data collection, and information standards.
- Familiarity with DHIS or other public health information systems.
- Ability to work under pressure.
Duties:
- Collect data according to the National Indicator Data Set (NIDS).
- Use standard data recording registers/tools.
- Adhere to the National Information Management Policy.
- Ensure facility data is correct, complete, and consistent.
- Report facility monthly reports to districts timely.
- Ensure monthly input forms correspond to source documents.
- Maintain proper file keeping in healthcare facilities.
- Capture data into WebDHIS, Tier.Net, EDRweb, and other patient management systems.
- Perform data quality audits and participate in external audit activities.
- Export data and send to the next level according to provincial procedures.
- Prepare and update graphs on key indicators monthly.
- Prepare and present monthly reports on key indicators.
- Provide feedback on data quality to staff involved in data collection.
- Perform administrative/clerical duties as required.
