Job Summary
Job Title: Driver – Grade B3

Key Performance Output
The successful candidate will report to the Assistant Manager of Corporate Facilities and will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
- Conduct daily inspections on all department vehicles and other equipment to ensure roadworthiness, serviceability, and operational readiness, including fueling as per scheduled intervals.
- Store all maintenance equipment safely and ensure all department vehicles, other maintenance machinery, and workstations are cleaned regularly.
- Drive the tractor and all department vehicles for operations.
- Operate runway and all sweeping machines.
- Perform daily cleaning maintenance operations by driving refuse removal vehicles.
- Assist in other maintenance activities as requested and instructed by the Surface Maintenance Department Head.
- Report any accidents and incidents involving all department vehicles.
- Report any non-compliance on all department vehicles.
- Update logbooks as and when required.
- Liaise and engage with internal stakeholders to ensure effective and efficient operations.
- Adhere to relevant legislation, regulations, standards, codes, and company policies and procedures.
Technical Skills and Experience
The following skills and experience, or the equivalent thereof, are required:
- Matric (Grade 12) is essential.
- 1-3 years’ experience in maintenance or operations within the facilities maintenance sector is essential.
- Valid Code C1 driver’s license is essential.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
- Knowledge of the airport environment.
