Primary Function

To provide shared driver/messenger services with Group SHELA & FCM for City Core departments.

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade 12 / NQF level 4
  • Valid driver’s license with Public Driving Permit (PDP)
  • A minimum of 2 – 3 years of driving experience
  • Proven experience as a driver/messenger in a similar role is an added advantage.

 

Key Performance Areas:

  • Provide efficient and effective messenger services to end-user departments.
  • Ensure effective provision of mail management services to core departments.
  • Ensure effective and efficient usage of allocated official vehicles.
  • Ensure proper record management of information collected during execution of duties.

  • Computer literate (MS Office)
  • Ability to function within a team
  • Good negotiation skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Professional, reliable, and positive attitude.

  • Good knowledge of traffic rules, regulations, and safe driving practices
  • Good customer service skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Understanding of document management
  • Understanding of policy and procedures governing driver/messenger vehicle management
