Job Advert Summary

The Driver is responsible for performing driving duties in the Electrical section, ensuring the safe transportation of staff and equipment to various destinations in and out of the station, collecting and delivering items to and from external suppliers, and maintaining vehicles in a clean and roadworthy condition.

 

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 (National Senior Certificate)
  • 3 years of relevant driving experience
  • Valid code EB driver’s license with the ability to pass Rand Water’s K53 test
  • Must be in possession of a Public Driver’s Permit.

 

Primary Duties

  • Collect and deliver items/equipment safely
  • Ensure petty cash is used appropriately
  • Transport staff ensuring timely arrival
  • Maintain vehicles in good working condition and cleanliness; report defects/incidents immediately.

 

Knowledge

  • Knowledge of OHS Act
  • Communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Knowledge of road traffic rules
