The Johannesburg Road Agency has two Finance Clerk vacancies on a 12-month contract.

Job Summary

Salary Range: R232,343.25 – R348,514.88 per annum

Location: Johannesburg, Gauteng.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the entire process of job costing and follow up on outstanding work/job orders.
• Issue material and ensure accurate generation of monthly, quarterly, and annual job reports.
• Follow procedures and accurately capture information in the system.
• Capture hours for labor, plant, equipment, vehicles, and contractors.
• Verify the correctness of job costing expenditure and rates on the Hansen System.
• Identify and resolve inconsistencies in captured data.
• Complete and close work/job orders on the Hansen System.
• Issue material to the Asphalt Plant and RSD and close their work orders.
• Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual job reports for the Operations Department and Performance Management Section.
• Provide general finance and audit support.

Requirements and Selection Criteria:

• Higher Certificate in Mathematics and Accounting or relevant NQF level 5 equivalent.
• Minimum of two (2) years experience in accounting or finance.
• Proficiency in using financial systems and tools, especially the Hansen System preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
