Background:

Guided by principles of independence, neutrality, and impartiality, MSF provides medical assistance irrespective of race, religion, gender, or political affiliation, primarily funded by private donations.
Purpose:
The IT intern will respond to user requests for service, troubleshoot problems, and assist in developing solutions. Responsibilities include minor repairs to equipment, technical assistance for network, hardware, and software issues, maintaining computer systems, resolving network access issues, and supporting network printers.
Reporting Structure:
The IT Intern reports to the IT Officer.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- First-line user support.
- Logging of all tickets.
- Assist with setting up video conferencing kits.
- Record and label assets in the register.
- Prepare and follow up on orders.
- Ensure backups are running.
- Creation of new email accounts for new users.
- Create meetings/webinars using Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Starleaf, Bluejeans, etc.
- Add/remove users from mailing lists.
- Monitor antivirus software, update, and repair computers infected with spyware, adware, and/or viruses.
- Maintain inventory records and documentation for equipment.
- Perform other duties/projects as assigned.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Must have completed an IT/network National Diploma or Degree or a similar field.
- Good understanding of computer network cabling and network file and print services.
- Proficiency in computer applications: Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Good understanding of Office 365 platforms.
- No experience required.
- Strong interest in IT.

Remuneration and Resources:
- Monthly stipend: R5000.
- 100% medical aid contribution.

Commitment:
