Kruger National Park (KNP) is seeking a qualified and experienced Manager: Learning and Development to join their team in Skukuza.

 

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in developing and implementing learning and development initiatives that optimize human capital performance and achieve business results for KNP.

Job Title: Manager: Learning and Development

Location: Kruger National Park, Skukuza

Division: Human Capital Management Department

Reporting To: Senior Manager: Human Capital Management (KNP) and dotted line to General Manager: Learning and Development Manager

Closing Date: 29 May 2024

 

About the Role 

 

As the Manager: Learning and Development, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including:

 

  • Managing the coordination and implementation of learning and development programs
  • Developing and preparing learning programs for KNP
  • Prioritizing operational learning and development needs
  • Contributing to the development of policies, SOPs, and processes for learning and development programs
  • Implementing processes and systems for effective delivery of programs and ensuring quality assurance
  • Managing and coordinating the implementation of various training programs (Induction, MDP, RPL, Internship and Learnerships)
  • Maintaining and managing stakeholder relations

Criteria

 

  • Degree in Human Resources Management/Human Resources Development
  • Occupational Directed Education Training and Development Practices (OD-ETDP) certificate
  • Registration with relevant bodies
  • 4-6 years’ experience in learning and development
  • Understanding of SANParks policies and reporting framework
  • Knowledge of Good Corporate Governance Practices
  • Skills development legislation knowledge (SDA, SDLA, EEA, B-BBEE, LRA, SAQA Act)
  • Strong leadership, management, planning, and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and conflict resolution skills
  • Project management and computer skills
  • Strong analytical and decision-making abilities
