Job Purpose:
To transform customer order requirements into daily delivery requirements and optimized, executable transportation and delivery schedules using the TMS system across all market streams.
This role involves facilitating engagements with internal and external stakeholders to identify, analyze, and implement mitigations and continuous improvement opportunities.
Key Accountabilities:
- Review demand received from the Demand Coordinator, ensuring all applicable constraints are considered within the TMS system.
- Validate the generated schedule at the compartment level to ensure it is optimal, making relevant manual adjustments if required.
- Monitor performance using leading and lagging indicators through various daily, weekly, and monthly reports, applying corrective actions as needed.
- Execute the replenishment plan, ensuring suggested orders from the replenishment tool meet defined criteria.
- Identify optimization opportunities by challenging business rules and operating parameters.
- Ensure the schedule aligns with safety rules, business rules, and scheduling parameters.
- Perform load planning, transport allocation, and volume checks.
- Communicate the preliminary schedule by deadlines and address any changes submitted by the Logistics Department before publishing the final schedule.
- Monitor and ensure that contractors and customer transporters confirm pick-up for allocated slots and adhere to them.
- Update delivery details on the TMS system when delivery slots differ from booked or allocated slots.
- Manage stakeholder relationships through constant communication on service status; facilitate effective root-cause analysis; and provide prompt feedback to stakeholders regarding incident resolution.
- Initiate the creation of shipments for deliveries on the optimized schedule.
- Complete administration and housekeeping of all documents.
- Review depot performance against schedule and implement continuous improvement measures.
Formal Education:
High School / School Diploma or similar
Experience:
Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience
