The purpose of the position is to unpack and store incoming parts in the correct bin location and to pick parts against correct documentation for delivery.

Job Overview:

The primary responsibility of this job is to ensure that incoming parts are unpacked and stored correctly, and outgoing parts are picked accurately against documentation for delivery.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Incoming Parts:

  • Receive, unpack, check, and bin all incoming stock.
  • Ensure parts are free from damage and that part numbers and labels are correct before binning.
  • Ensure the Admin department receives all relevant documentation with signatures.
  • Accurately update bin locations as per OEM specifications and standards.

Outgoing Parts:

  • Pick parts against a computerized invoice (unless otherwise stated) and hand to the appropriate authorized person.
  • Ensure all outgoing parts are free from damage before handing them over.
  • Ensure accurate picking of parts.

General:

  • Adhere to all safety and security policies set out by the Company.
  • Maintain and keep the warehouse clean and tidy at all times.
  • Assist with perpetual and periodic stock counts.
  • Perform any other reasonable duties as required.
  • Ensure dress code is maintained according to Company standards.

 

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Senior Certificate or equivalent NQF Level 04.
  • 2-3 years of experience in a parts picker packer position within a motor retail environment.
  • Computer literacy is essential (MS Office).
  • Knowledge of Automate is an advantage.
  • Understanding of industry legislative compliance.
  • A valid, unendorsed driver’s license.
  • Willingness to work overtime for stock taking.
