Rand Water is seeking a Building Projects Clerk to protect its servitudes, pipelines, and ancillary structures from potential damage and ensure compliance with the organization’s policies, standards, and specifications.

Minimum Requirements

• Education: Grade 12
• Experience:
  • At least 2 years in civil engineering construction or pipeline projects
  • Experience with wayleaves, servitudes, and encroachment processes.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain and update outgoing wayleave spreadsheets daily.
• Utilize the online system regularly for wayleave tracking.
• Prepare wayleave documentation for external stakeholders upon request.
• Follow up with stakeholders regarding wayleave approvals and ensure timely submissions.
• Notify Project Managers and Land Surveyors about wayleave approvals and expiry dates.
• Regularly update spreadsheets for any changes in outgoing wayleaves.
• Submit:
  • Weekly steering committee reports to the Line Manager
  • Bi-weekly wayleave progress spreadsheets
• Keep accurate records of outgoing wayleave information.
• Archive correspondence and approvals daily.
• Attend site meetings and liaise with Project Managers.
• Stay updated with new information and technological advancements.
