The Yes 4 Youth Learning Programme is a 12-month initiative designed to equip unemployed graduates with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in the research field within the food and beverage industry. Through this program, you will gain hands-on experience working alongside experienced researchers, contributing to meaningful projects, and developing a strong foundation for your future career.

 

Job Description

 

As a Research Assistant within the Yes4 Youth Learning Programme, you will play an integral role in supporting our research team. Your responsibilities will include:

 

  • Conducting in-depth research using a variety of methods including face-to-face and telephonic interviews, online research tools, and literature reviews.
  • Effectively capturing and cleaning data using Microsoft Excel.
  • Contributing to the data analysis process and assisting with the creation of clear and concise reports.
  • Conducting thorough literature reviews on research topics relevant to the food and beverage sector.
  • Providing administrative support to the Research Manager and Researchers as required.
  • Completing ad-hoc tasks assigned by the Research Manager and Researchers.

 

Requirements

 

FoodBevSeta is looking for enthusiastic recent graduate with a strong interest in research and a passion for the food and beverage industry. You will ideally possess the following qualifications and skills:

 

  • An Honours or Master’s degree in Social Sciences or a related postgraduate qualification.
  • Between the ages of 18 and 35
  • Currently unemployed

Skills

  • Communication and interpersonal skills,
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
