Position Summary
The Department of Justice and Constitutional Development is seeking dedicated and vigilant Security Officers to join the National Office in Pretoria. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment by providing access control and monitoring premises, ensuring the safety of employees, and enforcing security policies.
Salary
- R155,148 – R182,757 per annum
- The successful candidate will be required to sign a performance agreement.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage access control at entry points.
- Enhance building or premises safety.
- Prevent unauthorized items from entering or leaving the premises.
- Monitor CCTV cameras to ensure continuous security coverage.
- Register staff on the biometric system.
- Provide access for staff on weekends as required.
Minimum Requirements
- Education: Grade 12
- Professional Certification: PSIRA Grade C certification
Knowledge:
- Physical security procedures and processes
- Safety and security legislative frameworks
Skills and Competencies:
