POST 22/82: SCM Clerk (SUP): Acquisition Management (06 Posts)

  • Salary: R308 154 – R362 994 per annum (Level 7)
  • Centre: King Williams Town (3 Posts), Alfred Nzo (1 Post), Joe Gqabi (1 Post), Chris Hani (1 Post)
  • Requirements:
    • National Senior Certificate
    • National Diploma (NQF Level 6) / B. Degree (NQF Level 7) in Acquisition / Purchasing / Logistics Management / Finance / Accounting / Supply Chain Management
    • 1-2 years’ experience in demand and acquisition
    • BAS or LOGIS is compulsory
    • Knowledge of procurement procedures, financial management, public service legislative frameworks
    • Skills in organizing, problem-solving, decision-making, and negotiation
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Duties:
    • Allocate bid numbers and closing dates
    • Prepare advertisement documents for Government Printers
    • Ensure timely advertisement/publication of bids in various platforms
    • Update bid and quotation registers
    • Facilitate briefing sessions
    • Verify compiled attendance registers for briefing sessions

  • Salary: R308 154 – R362 994 per annum (Level 7)

  • Requirements:
    • National Senior Certificate
    • National Diploma (NQF Level 6) / B. Degree (NQF Level 7) in Supply Chain Management / Logistics Management / Financial Management / Purchasing
    • 1-2 years’ relevant experience in the Demand Management environment
    • Basic knowledge of supply chain duties and legislative framework governing the Public Service
    • Skills in organizing, data capturing, and computer operation
  • Duties:
    • Supervise and render asset management clerical services
    • Oversee compilation and maintenance of records
    • Verify issuing of equipment and accessories
    • Identify redundant, non-serviceable, and obsolete equipment for disposal
    • Oversee verification of the asset register
    • Supervise human resources/staff
    • Allocate and ensure quality of work

  • Requirements:
    • National Senior Certificate

    • 1-2 years’ experience in the records management environment
    • Knowledge of National Archives Act, registry duties, and legislative framework governing the Public Service
    • Skills in organizing, data capturing, and computer operation
  • Duties:
    • Supervise handling of incoming and outgoing correspondence
    • Supervise reception and mail sorting, registering, and dispatching
    • Supervise filing and record management services
    • Ensure and complete index cards for all files
    • Supervise operation of office machines related to registry function
    • Maintain franking machine register and post records
    • Conduct spot checks on post
    • Maintain remittance register

  • Requirements:
    • National Senior Certificate
    • National Diploma (NQF Level 6) / B. Degree (NQF Level 7) in Financial Accounting / Cost and Management Accounting / Financial Management / Financial Planning / Accounting / Internal Auditing
    • 1-2 years working experience in salaries and expenditure environment
    • PERSAL Introduction Certificate will be an added advantage
    • Knowledge of financial administration, PFMA, Treasury Regulations, and Provincial Treasury Instructions
    • Skills in communication, data capturing, and computer operation
  • Duties:
    • Collate and consolidate budget inputs from programmes during budgeting process
    • Assist programmes with planning and costing of activities
    • Consolidate budget information and inputs from programmes
    • Load budget on BAS based on appropriate letter and Treasury instructions
    • Monitor expenditure and advise on discrepancies
    • Capture correcting journal on financial management system
    • Check budget availability and SCOA classification for proposed commitment
    • Assist in compiling IYM
    • Contribute to compilation of reports
    • Manage assets allocated to the unit
    • Provide mentorship to newly appointed staff, learners, and interns
    • Ensure compliance with Public Service prescripts
    • Ensure management of PMDS
